Meet the guys that built RollingBrock
Kurt Rolling and Steve Brock started RollingBrock Homes in 2001. With decades of experience in residential construction and multiple construction related degrees under their belts they set out to do something different. They listened to their clients and tailored the construction process to fit the customers needs. After years of experience, they realized they needed to find a way to work with the complex and varying needs of different homeowners and that no one formula guaranteed a successful project but that the ability to adapt to unique circumstances made for a successful business.

Steve was born and raised in Edina, Minnesota. He received an Architectural Drafting and Design Degree from Normandale Community College and began his career working at a Minneapolis architectural firm as a draftsman. He moved into residential construction by working as a custom home designer for a Plymouth home builder. It was there he worked for a number of years designing homes and working with clients on their projects. He then became the design manager for a Bloomington based remodeling company where he worked with clients on remodeling projects big and small. In 2001 he founded RollingBrock Homes, Inc. with his business partner and friend Kurt Rolling. After many successful years in business Steve realized there was more to learn and went back to school in his “spare” time. This past spring he received a bachelor degree in Construction Management from the University of Minnesota and he hopes to use that to better serve his clients in the future. Steve and his wife Stacy currently live in Shakopee with their three children ages 9, 7, and 3.

Kurt grew up in Crystal, Minnesota. He received an Architectural Drafting and Design Degree from Minneapolis Drafting School and began his career working at a Precast Concrete Company as a draftsman. After years of drafting for different construction companies, he started his career in residential construction. His dream of designing houses had been achieved. While drawing houses he gained experience on the build side of construction and realized what he really wanted to do was build houses for a living. He realized that dream in 2001 when he partnered with Steve Brock and began RollingBrock Homes. After years of building homes from the ground up, it is still a joy to go through the process with each new client and help them build the homes of their dreams. Kurt and his wife currently live in Bloomington with their two children ages 11 and 8.
